A cold day in Laramie wasn't enough to cool down a blazing hot TCU team as the Frogs (11-0) thumped the Wyoming Cowboys 45-10 on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium. With the win, TCU has clinched at least a share of the Mountin West Conference championship.…

Homeless children in Fort Worth area increases

Each day, Jo Carter, the liaison specialist for homeless students in the Fort Worth Independent School District, sorts through a massive stack of forms on her desk. The forms, which steadily increase in number each day, ask a series of questions that help to identify students in need of assistance because they are homeless.

F2CR campaign could be more effective

The Alcohol and Drug Center began a new campaign on campus with the slogan "freedom to choose responsibly" coupled with the catchy graphic sporting the acronym "F2CR". While this is certainly an admirable cause, it has unfortunately brought some negative perceptions along with it.

Audiences on fence about getting into 'The Box'

The story is deceptively simple. A suburban couple are given a box with a button and a choice. They can push the button and get a million dollars, but the catch is that someone they don't know will die. Based on a story by legendary science fiction writer Richard Matheson that was adapted from the 1980s revamp of "The Twilight Zone," director Richard Kelly's latest film "The Box" has him reaching some of the same potential that was first seen in his debut, "Donnie Darko.

Advertising for religious events misleading

Both AFTERdark, a Christian music and speaker event, and Girl's Night Out, a "girl talk" event with a Christian speaker, were both advertised without notifying audiences that they were Christian events. Students who attended AFTERdark showed up expecting to see a live band.
