Abstract:
Students will not be tailgating as usual this football season. Alcohol consumption, even for those of age, will not be allowed because alcohol consumption is prohibited by university policy on campus grounds....
Ok, seriously? How dumb do you have to be to think that college kids are not going to drink at a football game? TCU has been regulating this stuff for years and this is best solution? This is going to do nothing to curb underage drinking, only re-locate it to off campus locations that require DRIVING. Hmmm, I'm no rocket scientist, but last time I checked drinking and driving was not a good idea.
Alumni have got to be pumped for these new sanctions as well. Nothing like having your tailgate, that you paid for, overrun with refugees from the student body looking for the next best thing.
I'm all for a safe and secure environment, but c'mon. The shortsightedness of the administrative bodies that proposed and enacting these regualtions is laughable.
So congratulations TCU, I can't think of a better way to jeopardize the safety of students and the people around them than to do what you just did.

p.s. Attendence is going to suck (even more) too.
