Women's Network hosts bake sale to illustrate gender wage gap

Abstract:
Women on campus will be able to buy cookies, brownies and other bakery items for 75 cents, while men will have to pay $1 if they want a bite at a campus bake sale, a member of the TCU Women's Network said.

Megan O'Brien, president of the TCU Women's Network and senior art history major, said the Women's Network and Women's Studies Program will be hosting a bake sale to illustrate the gap between women's and men's wages on Thursday....

Ah, feminist hypocrisy. To combat the 'so called' wage gap, these women will discriminate against men by charging them more for baked goods? If I was attending this college I would submit a complaint to the dean.

The real problem is the inaccuracy in the wage gap. Study after study has shown the wage gap is made up of things like years of experience, hours worked, job types, etc. When corrected for all these things the unexplained gap is about 5 cents.....and even that has not been shown to be based on discrimination, it merely can't be explained. This is just another disinformation campaign brought to you by a special interest group.

Personally I wouldn't accept cookies from this group even if they were free. Who knows, all the ones given to men could be filled with a little dose of cyanide.

That is really good thing now that Women on campus will be able to buy cookies, brownies and other bakery items for 75 cents.
