Abstract:
Texas is hot.

In the concrete cities of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, there's no escaping the heat without increasing energy costs. But environmental scientists in Fort Worth are looking to beat the heat and a number of other pollutants plaguing urban environments - one "green roof" at a time....

I must say, this article is rather well written. I applaud the professionalism of this journalist. The topic is exciting and encouraging to those with a deep concern with sustainable living. Thank you to Ash for covering this important story.

Great article! I love reading about green roofs and have found stuff at http://www.cleanerairforcities.blogspot.com

Texas is great for green roofs, as they can help mitigate flash flooding by storing rain water in the roof structure.

I am a great fan of green roof technology for two reasons: environmental and aesthetic. I am so glad that people begin to understand the real importance of approaching new roofing technologies, there are great perspectives ahead of us.
