I agree with a lot of what you said, Marissa. Women are so much happier when we forget trying to live up (or down, as the case may be) to some guy's fantasy, and instead learn to embrace our own authenticity, regardless of what guys think. And if a good guy comes along who appreciates you as you are, then enjoy! But it's better to be alone than to compromise yourself.

while i'm not going to criticize a well-written article, i think we covered this "independent women" issue sufficiently last semester...bring on some new material people!
