Recent trend has students looking to the stars

Abstract:
The razor-sharp claws of the Cancer crab, the majestic presence of the Leo lion and the two identical faces of the Gemini twins are three of the 12 horoscopes signs astrologers use to aid in their interpretation of heavenly bodies.

Astrology has it's own set of rules and principles, but I don't think any serious astrologer would claim that astrology is similar to a modern day science.

At the same time, I think anyone who attempts to debunk astrology has to first learn astrology and practice it, which involves accepting the principles that govern astrology, before they can claim to understand how it works.

First of all, astrology is NOT a belief (unless you are a Zoroastrianist). It is a tool sometimes used for prediction just like many scientific fields. Secondly, there have been many statistical studies done over the past 4 decades that although prove an astrological effect, the results are interesting none the less. Also, there are just as many pro astrology statements from the Bible such as Genesis 1: 14-19. The reason Astrology is unable to be proven to work is because the current scientific paradigm of reductionist / analytical methods cannot accurately be applied to an holistic concept.
