The No. 21 women's tennis team pulled away late with a tight 4-3 win over Auburn University on Sunday at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. With the win, the team's spring record now stands at 3-2. It was the team's second consecutive win over a top-25 opponent. (0) comments

Men's basketball suffers fourth straight conference loss The Horned Frogs fell to Colorado State University 71-65 on Saturday night on the road. It was the team's fourth straight loss in the Mountain West Conference. The team's record now stands at 13-10 overall. (0) comments

The women's basketball team will wrap up the first half of Mountain West Conference play tonight on the road against the University of Utah. The Lady Frogs (13-7, 5-2 MWC) are tied for second in the conference with the University of New Mexico and San Diego State University. (0) comments

Frogs shuffle offensive coaching staff The football program announced major changes in the coaching staff yesterday, including promoting Jarrett Anderson and Justin Fuente to co-offensive coordinators. Anderson was wide receivers coach the last eight seasons and will now coach the running backs along with being co-offensive coordinator. (0) comments

With the Pittsburgh Steelers' 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night, former TCU defensive end Jared Retkofsky became the 13th Horned Frog in school history to become a Super Bowl champion. Retkofsky adds his name to a growing list of former Frogs who have found success at the next level. (0) comments

Over the past two weeks the debate raged on: Arizona Cardinals or Pittsburgh Steelers? The Steelers won, who honestly were my pick to win it all in the preseason, thanks to some shady officiating. Before the weeks of analysis, we watched the NFL playoffs and before that there was the annual debate about the BCS. (0) comments

The men's tennis team finished 1-1 this weekend in two matches at Penick-Allison Tennis Center in Austin. The team faced the University of South Florida on Saturday and came away with a 4-1 victory. South Florida was ranked 28th coming into the match. Things went a little differently for the Horned Frogs on Sunday against the University of Texas Longhorns squad. (0) comments

Lady Frogs top Rams with overall effort

"Teams that want to play in March have to have good Februaries." That was head coach Jeff Mittie's message to his team as they prepared to start the second half of conference play with a home game against Colorado State University on Saturday. If the Lady Frogs' 71-59 win over the Rams was any indication, the team is listening so far. (0) comments

There will be a Mardi Gras celebration Monday in the Campus Commons hosted by Programming Council and the International Student Association. The event will feature the band Professor D, the TCU Soul Steppers, stilt walkers as well as cultural drumming, international student's band performances and henna tattoos. (0) comments

The men's tennis team will travel to Austin this weekend to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Indoor Regional, their first tournament of the spring season. They will face the University of South Florida in the first round. The tournament this year will feature several high-profile teams. (0) comments

Prediction: Experience to lead Steelers to victory

Sunday's Super Bowl in Tampa Bay, Fla., will feature the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the final teams left standing at the end of a long, exhausting NFL season. The Steelers, a team that won Super Bowl XL just three seasons ago, are aiming to cement their position as the franchise with the most championships in the history of the league. (0) comments

Four women from the track and field team will continue the Flyin' Frogs young season with a weekend trip to the Houston Indoor Invitational. The group includes junior Jessica Young, senior Meaghan Peoples, senior Kishelle Paul and freshman Whitney Gipson, The meet will be the Flyin' Frogs' third since the season started Jan. (0) comments
