Carrying on the tradition of using their talents to give back to the community, Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma teamed up to play a benefit concert for the family of a sick child in Birdville this month. The concert was the culmination of a week-long fundraising campaign to benefit Angel, the 3-year-old son of Francisco Menjivar, a janitor at Birdville High School. (0) comments

Despite being a skate-punk band, Here Holy Spain has a lot to offer first-time listeners of their album "Manic". While the band compares itself to the Alkaline Trio and local legends the Toadies, the sound is closer to alternative rock icons Nirvana. The acid rock sound of loosely strummed power chords and the pounding rhythms of the percussion bring to mind a punk-powered Kurt Cobain. (0) comments
Jose Feghali locked himself in a room, fidgeted with his mind and played with his computer when his project didn't live up to his expectations. The university artist-in-residence, piano professor and self-proclaimed geek wasn't satisfied with the sound quality of the software he was using during a class he conducted between the university and London's Royal Academy of Music in 2008.
