Nike unveils new Frog uniforms

Nike allowed campus bookstore patrons to unlock the vault that housed the new Frog uniform the team will wear Saturday against Utah. Each patron was given a card with a code that unlocked the vault. Certain codes allowed patrons to win free T-shirts. The New uniform is a purple top with gray pants and a black helmet. (6) comments

Frogs jump to No. 4 in BCS after win over Aztecs

The Frogs (9-0, 5-0) took another step toward BCS paydirt Saturday with their convincing 55-12 win over the San Diego State Aztecs. The team jumped from No. 6 in the BCS standing to No. 4 when the polls came out Sunday. The Frogs' jump was caused by then-No. (0) comments

Displayed at the university bookstore, the Frogs' new Nike uniforms have students and alumni talking. According to a press release from Nike, the uniforms were designed with the inspiration of the Frogs' promising future and fearless attitude. Designers were able to digitally replicate the image of horned frog scales on parts of the uniform. (1) comment

No. 4 TCU looks to advance their season record to 10-0 this weekend against a team that has historically had their number. The Frogs will face off against the No. 14 University of Utah Utes on Saturday in Amon G. Carter Stadium in front of a sellout crowd and will be ESPN's College GameDay's game of the week. The moment I found out ESPN's College GameDay was coming to our city, I knew the likelihood of me accomplishing anything academically this week was about as likely as the BCS letting the Frogs into the National Championship Game. It just wasn't going to happen. (1) comment

The Horned Frogs' football game against Utah has completely sold out Amon G. Carter Stadium for the first time since 2006, when the Horned Frogs played Texas Tech. Although the university box office has sold out of tickets, they are still available on ticket broker Web sites such as Texas Tickets and StubHub, ranging in price from $85 to $500 each as of Tuesday evening.
