Both AFTERdark, a Christian music and speaker event, and Girl's Night Out, a "girl talk" event with a Christian speaker, were both advertised without notifying audiences that they were Christian events. Students who attended AFTERdark showed up expecting to see a live band. (1) comment

With the Texas gubernatorial election a still a little less than a year away and Frog football hysteria gripping most of the city and the university, it might be difficult for students to suddenly shift into political mode. But tonight's debate between four Democratic primary candidates for Texas governor is an opportunity of which all students should take advantage. (0) comments

University should rethink Christmas tree location

Bah humbug to the university officials who thought it was a jolly idea to move the traditional campus Christmas tree from the steps of Sadler Hall to the Campus Commons, a supposed higher traffic location. While the new location will no doubt be aesthetically pleasing, it is safe to say that the tree will make a great centerpiece for the residential students who are on that side of campus on a daily basis.
