Horned Frogs wash over Islanders in sweep

In a night of standout pitching by the entire TCU rotation, the Horned Frogs allowed only one run in two games Tuesday leading to a double-header sweep against the Texas A&M-Corpus Cristi Islanders. The wins were TCU's second and third in 24 hours. The Horned Frogs also defeated Dallas Baptist University on Monday night 20-3, scoring all the runs in the last three innings. (0) comments

Squad to face Runnin' Rebels in Vegas

The baseball team will put their three-game winning streak on the line this weekend against the potent lineup of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Runnin' Rebels. TCU enters its second conference series of the season after falling to the University of New Mexico 1-2. (0) comments

The women's basketball team will play the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. for the fourth round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament. The game is scheduled to take place Saturday, Sunday or Monday. TCU advanced to the fourth round Wednesday after defeating Texas Tech, 81-74. (0) comments

Weekend matches team's first three  in conference season

The women's tennis team is hoping history will repeat itself today with the beginning of conference play. The Horned Frogs are beginning the same three-day series they swept last season, defeating conference rivals Colorado State, Air Force and Wyoming without losing a single match. (0) comments

Team travels to Las Vegas for three conference opening games

The men's tennis team will take its 13-5 record on the road when they travel to Las Vegas to open conference play against three different opponents in three consecutive days, starting today. These three matches, against Air Force, Brigham Young University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, will mark the start of Mountain West Conference play this season for TCU. (0) comments

Every college basketball team starts each season dreaming of an invitation to the Big Dance in March. For 128 teams the NCAA Tournament eventually becomes reality. For another 64 schools, instead of a great night's sleep, it's more like a good nap. The Lady Frogs are living this slightly-lesser dream as competitors in the Women's National Invitation Tournament. During its second year of competition, the women's Western team has been named the No. 1 seed for the 2008 Varsity Equestrian National Championships in Waco, April 17 to 19. The team has the best record in the nation with a perfect 11-0 season. The Hunt Seat team went 5-7, earning the first alternate position for the tournament. (0) comments

The TCU men's basketball team may have a new head coach as early as April 7, according to the assistant director of athletics media relations. Assistant director Joe Monaco said the team hopes to have a new coach hired in time for the NCAA Tournament National Championship game, which is on April 7. (0) comments

The women's basketball coach was full of hopes on his way to Lubbock on Tuesday as his WNIT-champion hopeful Lady Frogs will try to steal a win from Texas Tech in the third round of the tournament tonight. Head coach Jeff Mittie said he hopes his senior-laden team's experience will give the Lady Frogs an advantage over a young Lady Raider squad that lists just one senior and includes nine transfer players.
