TCU News Now is the award-winning student-produced newscast from the Schieffer School of Journalism. News Now has been around since 2004 and now produces four newscasts a week, airing Tuesday through Friday, during the regular regular school year.
Kelly is a senior broadcast journalism major and political science minor from Edmond, Okla. She recently interned at KWTV Channel 9 in Oklahoma City as part of the consumer watch team. She is a member of Chi Omega and plans to pursue a career in journalism as a reporter or a producer.
Rebekah is a junior broadcast journalism major and history minor from New Braunfels. She has known that journalism was her passion since she anchored the televised morning announcements at her high school. She is specifically interested in political, international and investigative reporting and recently applied for an internship at several major news networks in New York City and Los Angeles for summer 2008. She loves all aspects of broadcast journalism and is trying to decide whether to pursue a career in producing or as an anchor/reporter. Rebekah is also involved as a member of the Order of Omega honor society and serves on the executive board of her sorority, Chi Omega.
Elisa is a senior broadcast journalism major and religion minor from Carrollton. She manages the Web videos for TCU News Now. She has recently interned for The Mtn. as well as Fox Sports- Southwest. She aspires to one day work for ESPN or the Golf Channel. She is also a member of the TCU Women's Golf team.
Morgan is a senior broadcast journalism major from Omaha, Neb. She spent two years interning at KETV Newswatch 7 in Omaha and studied abroad in Florence, Italy last Spring. Morgan is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and writes a humor column for TCU's Image magazine. She's also been known to write an opinion piece or two for the Daily Skiff. She looks forward to pursuing a career in magazine writing or broadcasting on cable.
Leslie is a junior broadcast journalism major from Arlington. She is the captain of the all-girl cheerleading squad and a member of Chi Omega sorority. She plans to get involved in entertainment and fashion news after graduation. She is a promotional cheerleader for TXA Channel 21 and is an avid fan of the Dallas Mavericks. She loves shoes, dancing and the Horned Frogs.
Rachael is an international communications news-editorial journalism and history major and an Italian minor from Dallas. Rachael has decided to go into broadcasting after college and hopes to one day become a foreign correspondent. Her hobbies include playing guitar, singing, writing music, writing and reading novels.
Michelle is a senior broadcast journalism major with a criminal justice minor from Mesquite. She is currently interning at CW33 as the entertainment reporter's intern and produces "On The Town," a show about what fun events are happening during the week. She graduates in May and hopes to find a job anywhere as a reporter and eventually become an entertainment reporter. Michelle is a member of Christian sorority Eta Iota Sigma
Katie is a junior broadcast journalism major from Apple Valley, Minn. She began her journalism endeavor as a high school sophomore when she co-hosted and reported for the Emmy Award-winning "Whatever" show on the Minneapolis NBC affiliate, KARE 11. Katie has received recognition and scholarships for her journalism and academic accomplishments through the National Television Academy. At TCU, Katie has served as staff reporter for The Daily Skiff, as a TCU Ambassador, as marketing director of the junior class Habit for Humanity project, FrogHouse, and as an office assistant in Residential Services. This spring she is interning with the communications department of TCU Athletics. Katie loves living in the South and just recently bought a pair of cowboy boots.
Susan is a senior broadcast journalism major and secondary education minor from Mansfield. She is also the editor-in-chief of the Horned Frog Yearbook. Between shooting stories, editing video and designing yearbook pages she enjoys teaching dance in Mansfield and spending time with family and friends. She is excited to graduate and start a career in broadcast.
Rashi is a senior broadcast journalism major and business minor from Houston. She recently interned for CBS Evening News in New York and was chosen as an International Radio and Television Society (IRTS) 2007 Summer Fellow. Rashi has also interned at the CBS London Bureau. She is also a residential assistant. She graduates in May and hopes to travel the world one day and be an international correspondent for a prominent news network.
